I graduated in May of 2013 from John Brown University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education with a Fine Arts Emphasis. Working with children is my passion and I have been involved with childcare from the age of 12. I love to incorporate a hands-on learning approach with sensory-rich lessons. Music is also a love of mine, and I seek to teach with music as much as possible. I am so excited to start my first year of teaching Kindergarten at GCA and am so thankful for this great opportunity to serve God by teaching children.
Music- I am so excited to be teaching Music in addition to Kindergarten here at GCA. I’ve had many experiences with music including singing in the KC Symphony Chorus and other choirs, acting in The Thorn production at Life Church, directing and performing in various Christian Youth Theater productions, taking piano and voice lessons through my college years, and performing in various concerts and recitals. While I have taught Piano and Voice lessons privately at Greenleaf Music and Arts Academy as well as out of my home, this is my first year teaching elementary school music classes. Music is a huge passion of mine and I am looking forward to a great year at GCA!

Art and Drama
I come from a long line of artists. My mom was an art teacher for as long as I can remember, and my grandpa painted the scenery for old Hollywood movie sets. I graduated from Calvary Bible College in 2013 with a degree in Advanced Biblical Studies and Theatre Arts, and have since pursued my passion of finding beauty in truth and telling that story to others. One of my very favorite things is to work with young artists and teach them the technical skills they need in order to make their artwork match their message.
Mr. Brandon Chapman has extensive experience teaching both elementary and high school students over a span of fifteen years. Although he has taught or tutored in various subjects, his undergraduate degrees are in Biology and Chemistry. He is currently finishing a Master’s in Global Health and would like to start a business related to education and child development. The reason he came to GCA is because he visited in 2016 to share about music and culture from South Korea. Brandon taught in South Korea for two years and developed his classroom management, lesson planning, and intercultural competency during that time. In his classes Brandon hopes to engage students with developmentally appropriate activities to build their endurance and strength as well as demonstrate God’s amazing workmanship in the human body.
